BCN.Deutschland-Puls

Here’s how Germany thinks about health

How does the German population feel about current health issues? The new meta-study “BCN Deutschland-Puls” provides a comprehensive mood assessment once a year.

Trust

Core topic 2025

“BCN Deutschland-Puls” focuses on one core topic every year. This year, the focus is on trust in our healthcare system and German healthcare policy – from e-prescriptions and electronic patient files, to the “longevity” trend and AI in the healthcare sector.

all the data, all the facts

The results of the current meta-study were presented exclusively at the BCN Health Lab 2025. You can download “BCN Deutschland-Puls” free of charge in PDF format here.

Please note that the report is only available in German.

The results

The complete “BCN Deutschland-Puls” is 54 pages. Here are the five key findings in brief:

Low trust

People’s trust in the healthcare system and healthcare policy is low. More than half say that fundamental change is needed.

Trust in digital solutions

Digital solutions such as the electronic patient file (ePA) and the e-prescription are well known and well received – but are sometimes viewed critically.

Vaccinations

Confidence in vaccinations is low – partly due to fear of side effects. Only 50% rate the coronavirus vaccinations as correct and important in retrospect.

AI in healthcare

Many people are skeptical about AI in healthcare. They believe that AI will never replace humans in medicine.

Preventive healthcare

Few people are interested in trends such as longevity or fitness trackers. In contrast, more and more people are practicing self-care and know that prevention is better than cure.

Any questions about the study, or about marketing health and pharma topics?

I look forward to hearing from you!
