“FOCUS online gives people the satisfying feeling of being up to date. They stay on top of breaking news at all times. In a world where misinformation is on the rise and spread across many channels, large and trustworthy news sources are of fundamental importance. They provide society with the reliable prerequisite for debates. FOCUS online also explains what the news means for each and every individual. This way, we help our readers to contextualize information and make informed decisions.”
Who are your readers?
“According to AGMA, FOCUS online reaches 22 million individuals per month. Over 70 percent of user interactions take place directly through our homepage. This demonstrates the strength of the FOCUS online brand as the ‘news hub’ for Germans. The user base is 53 percent male and 47 percent female. It spans all age groups from 16 to senior citizens. FOCUS online is also popular with younger people: 20 percent of users are between the ages of 16 and 29.”

“In the summer of 2026, we will once again present the Constructive World Award for outstanding media works that are both critical and constructive.
